Keith Caldwell is executive director of place based initiatives in the University of Pittsburgh Office of Engagement and Community Affairs (ECA). In this role, he supports the University’s Neighborhood Commitments in Homewood, the Hill District, and Greater Hazelwood. Through the Community Engagement Centers (CEC), Pitt is able to make long-term commitments in developing mutually beneficial partnerships that strengthen both the University and its communities.
Prior to joining the ECA team, Caldwell worked in Pitt’s School of Social Work for 14 years, including serving as chair of the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work Program and most recently as associate dean for student success.
He earned a doctorate at Pitt’s School of Education, a master’s degree at Pitt’s School of Social Work, and a bachelor’s degree in social work at Niagara University.
