Kimberle Greene

Kimberle Greene serves as growth enablement lead in University Communications and Marketing at the University of Pittsburgh. In this role, she supports the University and its graduate and professional schools in achieving their engagement and enrollment goals. Greene focuses on aligning strategies, fostering collaboration, and building pathways that strengthen student recruitment and engagement. She is passionate about helping to empower her colleagues with the tools and insights needed to drive growth while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Before joining higher education, Greene built a successful career in the health insurance industry at UPMC Health Plan, where she most recently served as senior community relations manager. She led the marketing and community engagement efforts for the Retail Innovation channel, developing strategic campaigns; launching impactful programs; and organizing hundreds of events focused on health, wellness, and health insurance literacy. Earlier in her career, Greene held several marketing and business development roles at PPG Industries Inc., contributing to the success of the PPG Architectural Coatings and Olympic Paints and Stains brands across locations in St. Louis, Toledo and Pittsburgh.

Beyond work, she is an active community leader. Greene serves on the executive board as chair of programming for I AM WHOLE, a nonprofit mentoring organization, and is treasurer of the Pittsburgh chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). Passionate about youth empowerment, she volunteers through schools, churches and community partnerships.

Outside of work and service, Greene enjoys traveling, roller skating, completing thousand-piece puzzles, exploring new recipes, and spending time with family. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a Master of Business Administration. Greene has more than 22 years of combined sales, marketing, relationship management, and scientific research experience. Known for her opportunistic mindset and “we can win” attitude, she is eager to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and implement meaningful strategic initiatives that resonate with Pitt’s schools, students and alumni.
